Album Reviews: April's Top Of The Pops

Only two complete reviews this month, due to the break, but a host of snippets to recommend (or not!)

So Shush: 'Wistful Wanders (rating 8/10)
With credit crunching so hard and the legends 'losing' money hand over fist, perhaps they should stop moaning, take a leaf out of So Shush's book, put some graft in and earn a living. This duo certainly deserve all they get. Read more

Doves: 'Kingdom Of Rust (rating 8/10)

Whilst I'm on...

Gomez: 'A New Tide' (Rating 8/10). Another quality release from Southport's latin boys. A New Tide sweeps you away.

Hatcham Social: 'You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil (Rating 7/10). A more than promising debut from the Londoners. If you like The Maccabees, Hard-Fi and the like, then this'll be right up your street.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs: 'It's Blitz' (Rating 6/10). Has it's moments, although a bit monotonous at times.
