Album Review: So Shush

So Shush: 'Wistful Wanders'

1. People Need Something
2. Hiway Flyway
3. Urban Sanctuary
4. Antarctica
5. Take Me Away
6. Nothing Lasts Forever
7. Sigh And Smile
8. In The Darkness
9. On Top Of The World

Salford duo So Shush's second album in the space of nine months is a pedigree indie trip.

You are set up for a treat from the very start as 'People Need Something' predicts that "people need something to go driftin". This track is the perfect solution. Glide along with the keyboards and Carole Smart's dreamy vocals and forget your troubles.

In fact you can quite happily allow the whole album drift in and out of your being. Wistful vocals backed with lolloping melodies wander around your sound buds for a more than appetizing 30 minute stint, with the aforementioned 'People Need Something', 'On Top Of The World' and, in particular, 'Nothing Lasts Forever' standing out.

With credit crunching so hard and the legends 'losing' money hand over fist, perhaps they should stop moaning, take a leaf out of So Shush's book, put some graft in and earn a living. This duo certainly deserve all they get.

Top Track: 'Nothing Lasts Forever'
Rating: 8/10
