Former Flechazos frontman, Alejandro Diez, and his band Cooper are back with their third full length installment of power pop melodies. There are few surprises on 'Aeropuerto', lyrically sound and incisive backed by a tight Power Pop sound with apparent influences as wide-ranging as The Kinks, Paul Weller or Teenage Fanclub, which means there's generally something for everyone.
'Hyde Park' (see video) is a tongue-in-cheek reflection on what London is like - 'la gente seria me hacia reir' ('the serious people made me laugh'). 'Mi Diario' (My Diary) is a raucous invitation to turn the page on failed romance, a track preceded by the delightfully poignant 'Steph' and followed by powerpop supreme, 'Un Día De Furia' (A Day Of Fury). Entertainment is guaranteed right to the final track, where 'La Edad De La Inocencia' (The Age Of Innocence) would be the perfect hommage to Teenage Fanclub and is the ideal way to round off this quality piece of work. All in all, an easy album to listen to, especially whilst sitting on a deckchair in Hyde Park. Try it!
