So, 2008 draws to a close.
An average year musically with a few highlights - The Courteeners, R.E.M's return to form, awesome concert in Murcia included, the continued prolificy of Liverpool's music scene - and more than a few low points - Keane and The Cure's nothing albums spring to mind.
Still, the best thing is to look forward to 2009, which surely can't be any worse! We already have a new Morrissey album to look forward to, in Spain Murcian group Second will release their third studio recording and we will watch with interest to see how the Blur reunion develops. Mustn't lose track of Liverpool bands like The Maybes?, The Little Hydes and Amsterdam either. Finally, Italian group Pipers should bring out their debut - I saw them in Liverpool and was well impressed. Good luck to everyone!
All in all, plenty to get ready for. For now, time to enjoy the New Year festivities.
Oh yeah, I nearly forgot. Can't let 2008 end without paying homage to George W. Bush , whose tenure as world terrorist/USA's most pathetic President EVER comes to an end. Respect is due to Muntadhar al-Zaidi, the Iraqui journalist who did what we all would have loved to - what a shame he missed!
Happy 2009!

Yo Nick,
I believe Fracciones de Segundo is Second's fourth studio album, after Private Life, Pose and Invisible.
As for beating around the Bush, I'll send you a separate e-mail so you can fine-tune the welly-throwing.

Happy New Year, Mr. B!
I stand corrected on the Second stat. You've been in Murcia a lot longer than I have!
CU Wednesday!
