Special Feature: The Temps

It was back in November when NME-Europe first got a taste of Liverpool's The Temps, a group who make music for girls to fight to (their words not mine). Since then they have been hard at work in the recording studio and have recently added a new track, 'The Lesson' to their player.

At the time, NME-Europe made mention of the band's garage-punk approach and nothing appears to have altered much on this new song. Brash, almost aggressive, 'The Lesson' is a clear example of why I was beaten into submission first time round. Lead singer Joey Wainwright's vocals are as frantic as the riffs - subtlety is not their strong point!

The Temps also have a busy schedule ahead, with no less than a dozen gigs lined up in the north-west over the next month and a half, perhaps the most notable being their appearance with Robots in Disguise at the O2 Academy in Liverpool on March 30. You can find out more on the MySpace page or on their official website.

Have a listen to their tracks while you're there - a word of warning, they're pretty addictive!
