December Concerts

The sidebar calendar has been updated with the best (according to me!) gigs of the month (Spain only for now).

Not a great deal going on, but a few things worth a visit:

In Murcia, apart from Electric Six's gig early in the month (Thursday4) and Raimundo Amador's Bluslería (Saturday 6), two local bands are the main attractions over the Christmas period.

Those of you who know a little about Murcia will need no introduction to Los Marañones, the Murcian rock band par excellence whose career spans 3 decades (or maybe more!). The veterans will play two gigs (Friday 26 and saturday 27) at the Club 12 & Medio (Murcia), reminding us of why they have survived. Prices is 12€ per night or 18€ for both.

If you still have no idea of what to do on New Year's Eve, Second will welcome 2009 with a gig at the Club 12 & Medio and will, no doubt introduce us to some of the songs from their much-anticipated new album 'Fracciones De Un Segundo', due for release early next year.

Finally, if you missed them in Murcia earlier on in 2008, you might want to make the trip to Valencia to see Asian Dub Foundation (Greenspace, Friday 12). Surely, one the best bands to have visited Murcia this year, their on stage presence guarantees an entertaining night out.
